With Rob Gronkowski retiring in the offseason, it's no secret that the Patriots are in the market for a new tight end.
Wide receiver Julian Edelman seems to have the exact player in mind for who should fill Gronkowski's void.

Tons of playful rumors have surrounded LeBron James trying to play football during his career, and it seems like Williamson is receiving similar hypothetical chatter around the subject before he even starts in the NBA.
Of course, the former Duke forward is going to hear his name called in the NBA Draft rather than the NFL, but just by looking at his size, it's hard not to ponder the impact Williamson could have as a football player.
He also apparently has quite the arm:
An ex-LSU assistant coach said he offered Zion Williamson a football scholarship.

With an arm like this, that's no surprise ... (via @ZionW32) pic.twitter.com/jqDxnNAC9u

At 6-7 285 pounds, Williamson has the frame and then some to play tight end. We have seen Jimmy Graham and Antonio Gates, among others, go from college basketball to the NFL.
Let's be honest, Edelman was just messing around, but the Photoshop wasn't the only realistic thing about this scenario. This probably won't be the last time someone brings up the possibility of Williamson playing in the NFL, even if it is only in jest.
