Josh Gordon would have been reinstated Monday, but he instead remains on the reserve/suspended by commissioner list. That means it's up to Roger Goodell to decide if and when Gordon can play again.
The troubled Browns receiver recently checked himself into a rehab facility program, which reports claim was the result of an alcohol problem. NFL Network described it as a “slip-up" that led to Gordon's decision to seek help. It's also possible this "slip-up" violates the terms of his reinstatement.

Coach Hue Jackson said at a press conference he's ready to "move on" from Gordon, and the Browns reportedly will release him at some point. As he remains on the reserve/suspended list, there's really no reason for Cleveland to part ways now. He doesn't count against the 53-man roster, and he's not being paid.
What's not clear is how long Gordon plans to stay in rehab, and what happens when he's out. Is Goodell willing to give him another chance at a reinstatement, or will Gordon remain suspended indefinitely?
