Despite past issues with the organization, Josh Gordon is relieved he will be staying with the Browns.
Cleveland.com reported Tuesday the Browns have declined recent overtures by teams interested in trading for the troubled wide receiver, even though he has been suspended 26 games in the last two seasons.

"I haven't heard too much about it,'' Gordon told reporters of the trade rumors. "Cleveland is my team. That's where I want to be, everything like that. That's not even in the ballpark for me. I'm not sure how that works.''
Gordon in Cleveland also is coupled with an old friend in former Baylor teammate Robert Griffin III, who was signed this offseason to reestablish himself as a starting quarterback. Gordon said he's also become close with Browns owner Jimmy Haslam, who has provided the receiver with a support system.
"It works out perfectly then for me,'' Gordon said. "Mr. Haslam, the organization, Coach (Hue) Jackson, I think the world of those guys, this city, this organization. Apparently they're showing the love and respect back to me by allowing me to stay here up to this point. I expect to move forward with that and I'm excited about it. This is where I want to be and I'm happy to be with Cleveland.''

Gordon was suspended the first 10 games of the 2014 season for a positive marijuana test and all of 2015 for drinking alcohol on a plane after the 2014 season ended. The Browns passed up on a chance to trade Gordon to the 49ers for a second-round pick in 2013, after an initial two-game suspension for violating the substance abuse policy.
He'll serve a four-game ban to start this season, and would be suspended indefinitely should he run afoul of the substance abuse policy again.
