If the Eagles were eager to sink their teeth into motivational material this week ahead of their NFC East game against the Cowboys, then Dallas running back Joseph Randle left little to chew on when speaking to the media (via DallasCowboys.com).

Recall that Randle made national headlines in May with comments about Cowboy-turned-Eagle running back DeMarco Murray leaving “meat on the bone," prompting Murray to respond that he hoped Randle would be "tasting some of that meat" when they met in the regular season.

However, on Thursday, Randle appeared to have no beef with Murray or the Eagles, but instead expressed how personally eager he is for Sunday's game in Philly.

"The excitement only builds. I’ve been waiting for this game for a long time,” Randle said. "I’ve been waiting for this opportunity. I hate to be a little selfish, but I still haven’t had a 100-yard game yet. So it’s a lot of things I have to focus on with my game and helping this team win.”

Randle, who rushed for 65 yards against the Giants, doesn't see this week as himself against Murray, although he did say it's a weekly goal to out-gain the opponent's backfield, no matter the opponent.

"We always pride ourselves on winning the rushing title every week,” Randle said. “That’ll be the same this week, too. It’s going to be fun. I think we’re going to focus on our guys — an us against the world type of feeling. It is a rivalry. Any time we play this game, we’re excited to play.”
