John Harbaugh admits Ravens need to add another running back image

The upcoming NFL Draft has one of the deepest running back classes in years and the Ravens could be in the market.

Ravens coach John Harbaugh acknowledged the need to add a running back to bolster a ground game that ranked 28th in the league this season.

"We need another back. What type of back that is? I think we’re talking about it," Harbaugh told reporters. "We have a pretty good idea of the type of back we want to add. Those two guys and another one is what we need."

Terrance West led the Ravens in rushing with 774 yards and five touchdowns while rookie Kenneth Dixon ran for 382 yards and two scores.

"Those two guys really proved themselves," Harbaugh said last week. "To me, Terrance West and Kenny Dixon made a name for themselves at running back.

"The number of broken tackles that [Dixon] had, how hard and physical he plays [is impressive]. Terrance West [is a] downhill, lower-his-pads runner. Both guys are good out of the backfield."

The Ravens went 8-8 this season and hold the 16th overall pick in April's draft. LSU's Leonard Fournette, Florida State's Dalvin Cook, Stanford's Christian McCaffrey, Tennessee's Alvin Kamara and Texas' D'Onta Foreman could all be options for Baltimore.
