Joey Bosa's mother took a swipe at the Chargers' draft history by posting on Facebook (via San Diego Union-Tribune), "Wish we pulled an Eli Manning on draft day." Yikes.

The No. 3 overall pick from Ohio State is at an impasse with the team over his rookie contract. The reference to Manning is related to the 2004 draft when Archie Manning told the Chargers his son had no intention of playing in San Diego.
The Chargers drafted Manning anyway and traded him to the Giants for a package that brought Philip Rivers to the West Coast.

Reports say Bosa is holding out because of the Chargers' desire to include offset language in his rookie contract and deferred payment of his signing bonus. It remains to be seen if Cheryl Bosa's social media post will have the same effect.
