The Broncos are in the midst of a rough season, and it looks like they'll be without their starting quarterback for some time.
Joe Flacco will likely be out 4-6 weeks while he deals with a herniated disk in his neck, ESPN reported Thursday.
After a second opinion on the bulging disc in his neck, Broncos QB Joe Flacco is now expected to be sidelined 4-6 weeks, pending reviews from Dr. Robert Watkins in LA and Dr. Jack Kelley in CT., per source. The thinking now is, No surgery necessary, pending those doctor reviews.

Flacco, 34, sought a second opinion regarding his neck injury and pending several medical reviews, he believes no surgery is necessary.
Earlier this week, the team announced Flacco would miss Sunday's game against the Browns, with backup Brandon Allen starting in his place. Denver initially feared Flacco's season was in jeopardy, but that feeling seems to have shifted in wake of the recent news.
Acquired from Baltimore via trade last offseason, Flacco has started eight games for Denver this season throwing for 1,822 yards and six touchdowns with five interceptions while completing 65.3 percent of his passes.
The Broncos (2-6) host the Browns (2-5) at 4:25 p.m. ET Sunday.
