Sports commentators are constantly being wooed by other networks with lucrative deals, but Fox Sports' Joe Buck got a rather interesting offer this week from outside the sports world.

Darren Rovell of The Action Network reported that a pornography website dangled $1 million to get Buck to do play-by-play commentary of live webcam sessions. Because who doesn't think, "Hey, I wish I could hear Joe Buck right now" while they're watching porn during a quarantine?

Buck could have tried to avoid any controversy that would arise from such an offer, but instead he opted to steer into the skid and crack a joke.

"I am highly qualified as I have been practicing these calls most of my life," Buck said of the offer in an interview with Sports Illustrated, "but I don’t want to just take that job without a proper, open audition. So if they get Jim [Nantz] and Al [Michaels] and Mike [Tirico] and all the others who do what I do to audition, I'm in. If any one of them say no, I'm out. That’s all I can commit to at this time. I can say I have NEVER been more flattered. And I know my dad [legendary announcer Jack Buck] would be proud."

Well, that quote got back to the porn site, and now there's an open call.

"If all those guys will do an audition, we’ll give $1 million to the winner," Adrian Stoneman, the site's vice president of business, told Rovell in a follow-up interview.

Some might think that Buck, a married man, might have only turned down the offer because his wife made him. But Michelle Beisner-Buck made it quite clear that wasn't the case.
