Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh had a bit of a sideline scare to start the game against the Denver Broncos. The good news: He is fine and coached most of the rest of the game after returning.
According to Harbaugh, he had what he called an atrial flutter, though his heart returned to a normal rhythm after he walked off the field. The coach was in good spirits about it during his postgame presser, even joking that he was medically qualified to talk about it and was 2-0 with arrhythmias (which is the most Harbaugh quote possible). He revealed the first one occurred during a Monday Night Football game while coaching with the San Francisco 49ers.
Chargers fans can breathe a sigh of relief after such a scare to start the game. Harbaugh mentioned he was going to follow up with his cardiologist tomorrow, but otherwise it seems like he is in the clear. We wish him nothing but good health moving forward as he looks to guide the Chargers to a postseason appearance.
