Jim Harbaugh leaves Chargers' Week 6 game, questionable to return image

Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh was seen heading to the team's blue medical tent just ahead of kickoff against the Denver Broncos on Sunday. He is said to be experiencing an illness and is questionable to return to the game.

For the time being, defensive coordinator Jesse Minter is the team's acting head coach.

The first quarter of the Broncos-Chargers game has gotten off to a rough start for both teams as Broncos cornerback Patrick Surtain II left the field after hitting his head on the turf following a tackle. For the Chargers, wide receivers Quentin Johnston and Ladd McConkey are both being evaluated for injuries.

Just before the game started at 1:05 pm PT, Harbaugh slowly walked into the tent. The telecast reported that he is dealing with an unknown illness.

Minter is in his first season as the team's defensive coordinator but served on Harbaugh's staff in the same role at Michigan.

As of the time of this writing, the Chargers hold a 3-0 lead after intercepting a pass thrown by Bo Nix on the Broncos' first offensive possession and turning that into a short 20-yard field goal by Cameron Dicker.
