Bragging rights at MetLife Stadium are up for grabs in Week 8.

The Jets and Giants square off on Sunday afternoon in East Rutherford, N.J. for an inter-conference matchup. This year has not treated either New York organization well, however both clubs enter this week coming off of wins.

The Giants (2-5) snapped a four-game losing streak last Sunday with a 14-7 win over the Commanders. With Daniel Jones out for the second consecutive week, quarterback Tyrod Taylor stepped up in his absence, throwing for 279 yards and two touchdowns with no turnovers.

However, it was the Giants' defense that were the true stars of the game, holding the Commanders to just a single touchdown. Brian Daboll's defensive unit held Washington QB Sam Howell to no touchdowns and an interception, with a Brian Robinson Jr. four-yard TD the only blemish on the day.

Meanwhile, the Jets (3-3) are fully rested after enjoying a bye week in Week 7. Last time out, Robert Saleh's unit handed the Eagles their first loss of the season, as the Jets won 20-14 over the previously undefeated club.

Zach Wilson and the offense wasn't great, but the defense came up big for the Jets. New York picked off Philadelphia QB Jalen Hurts three times and forced a fumble from RB D'Andre Swift, shutting out the Eagles in the second half en route to the win.

Sunday's meeting marks the first game between the two teams since 2019. The Giants may lead the all-time series 8-6, but the Jets have emerged victorious the last two matchups.
