NFL teams can be generous with hyperbole this time of year, but the Giants are talking up Jason Pierre-Paul in a big way after just a few days of camp.

"Jason looks like a beast out here," Giants general manager Jerry Reese told reporters (via NJ.com) over the weekend. "His motor is running hot. You are talking about a guy that looks like he is on a mission."

Pierre-Paul is on a one-year, $10 million contract with a lot of eyes on him this season to see if he can cope long-term with a mangled right hand. NJ.com noted that the defensive end was wearing a "normal-looking glove" at practice.

"I just know that back in the spring during (organized team activities), I looked at him a couple of times and saw how he was moving and how he was running and I was like, 'Wow! I haven't seen that guy for a little while now,'" Reese said. "He just looked big and fast and explosive and I was just happy to see that. Obviously his hand situation is something that has healed with more time and he learned how to use it better and I expect him to be a load."
