Ben Roethlisberger is lost for the season, but there's still hope for James Conner.
Speaking Monday on 93.7 The Fan, the Steelers running back expressed optimism about his availability for Week 3 when Pittsburgh visits San Francisco.
Conner, who suffered a knee injury in Sunday's loss to the Seahawks, confirmed he had "no tears" and didn't sustain "anything significant" after further evaluation.
James Conner said during his show on @937theFan that he’s confident he will play Sunday, no tears or anything significant with his knee.

Conner hurt his left knee in the second half of the game and limped off the field, though he was able to make it to the medical tent under his own power.
The Steelers also lost their starting quarterback as well as linebacker Vince Williams and safety Sean Davis to injuries.
The Steelers will look to avoid an ugly 0-3 start when they visit the 2-0 Niners in Week 3.
