Jamal Adams' 2023 season has not gotten off to an ideal start.
The Seattle safety played in his first game this season on Monday, suiting up for the Seahawks' primetime contest against the Giants. It was his first game in over 13 months, as he was hurt in Week 1 of the 2022 season with a torn quad tendon.
His debut lasted just nine plays, as Adams was removed from "Monday Night Football" with a concussion. The safety was not pleased with his forced exit, making a stink of it on the sidelines that the cameras caught.
Adams' antics made their way up the ladder to the NFL, and now the three-time Pro Bowler could be facing discipline from the league.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Wednesday that the NFL is considering discipline against Adams for his sideline actions during Monday night's win against the Giants.

Adams took a knee to the head on an attempted tackle of Giants quarterback Daniel Jones. He appeared woozy and was helped to the sidelines and evaluated by the Seahawks' medical staff.
In addition to Seattle personnel, the NFL's independent concussion doctor also went to check on Adams, which is customary on plays that involve potential head injuries. Adams clearly took exception to the visit from the doctor, becoming irate on the sidelines and yelling at the medical member.

Adams eventually left for the locker room and was later ruled out of the rest of the contest due to a concussion.
On Wednesday, Adams issued a statement, apologizing for his actions toward the doctor and saying that the doctor did "everything right when you realized I was concussed."
"Watching the replay, I am thankful for your patience knowing I wasn't myself in that moment," Adams wrote. "You're a real one and you serve a great purpose that benefits the NFL and so many players. Prioritizing player's health is essential. Much respect to you!"

Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said on Tuesday that he was "not sure" what the altercation was about on the sidelines involving Adams.
"He had a concussion and couldn’t play," Carroll said. "By the time they got all the assessments done, he couldn’t play. And somebody said something that wasn’t with us, it was somebody else that he might have responded to. I’m not sure about that."

Carroll said that Adams is "going to be OK" after the kick to the head in Week 4.
"He’s going to be OK," Carroll said on Tuesday. "He got kicked in the head. So he misses this game. But the preparation to get him to this and with the week coming off he’s going to be fine I’m sure and he’ll be back out there. It’s just a little glitch right now.
"He’s going to be fine. Frustrating start, but all of the work he did to get here is what preps him for the next time coming around and he’s going to be a big part of what we’re doing."
The safety was hurt on the ninth play of the Giants' opening drive on "Monday Night Football".
As Jones scrambled out of the pocket and rushed up the field, Adams stepped up to bring the quarterback down. As Adams shot low on Jones, his head connected with Jones' knee.
