Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey — who was planning to be at the team facility Wednesday after calling in sick Monday, according to ESPN, which cited an unidentified source — won't participate in practice, the team announced.
The Jaguars say he is dealing with a back injury.

NFL Media reported that Ramsey is "a little banged up" and is receiving treatment for issues related to his lower back and hamstrings. The Jaguars had the day off Tuesday.
Ramsey was involved in a heated exchange with Jaguars coach Doug Marrone on the sidelines during the team's loss to the Texans in Week 2 and requested a trade shortly after the incident.

But the team thus far has declined to move him, and Ramsey played in Jacksonville's matchup with the Titans last Thursday, recording nine total tackles.
"I have nothing bad or negative to say about anyone in the building," Ramsey said last week. "It is what it is ... I don't want to speak on it or give too much detail. I will let God do his work."
While it's been reported "almost every team has at least placed a call" to the Jaguars to check in on Ramsey, the Jaguars are willing to hold onto Ramsey and "make him the highest-paid cornerback" in the league.
Ramsey, the fifth overall pick of the Jaguars in 2016, has not rescinded his trade request but also hasn't missed a game since being drafted.
The Jaguars (1-2) are slated to visit the Broncos (0-3) at 4:25 p.m. ET Sunday.
