Jalen Ramsey has missed the last three games with a back injury, but will he be healthy enough to make his debut Sunday with the Rams?
"I hope so. We'll see," he said Wednesday at his introductory press conference in Los Angeles.
"I'm sure not only myself, but the coaches and everybody will come up with a good gameplan and be smart with me to go out there on Sunday. I've been missing football, I love football, so I would love that, but at the end of the day, we do have to be smart. So I don't know. I can't tell you yes or no."
The star cornerback finally got his wish this week when he was traded from the Jaguars to the Rams in exchange for their 2020 and 2021 first-round picks in addition to a 2021 fourth-round pick. Ramsey said he was grateful to have been selected by Jacksonville in 2016, but that he's excited for a new opportunity in Los Angeles.
He underwent his physical upon his arrival and later stopped by the team's training facility to get acquainted with coach Sean McVay and position coach Aubrey Pleasant.

"I think that we would definitely want to have the intent to get him ready to go, and we'll always make smart decisions, but yes, that's the goal," McVay said. "We'll figure out if that ends up coming to fruition or not."
Ramsey has nine interceptions and 45 pass breakups over his four-year career.
The Rams (3-3) are slated to visit the Falcons (1-5) at 1 p.m. ET Sunday.
