The Indianapolis Colts are coming off a season in which they were one win away from a playoff spot as a division champion, something they haven't accomplished since 2014.
As they plan to build around the potential of quarterback Anthony Richardson, they have done little in the way of adding outside talent to the roster. They have, however, chosen to retain the majority of their own free agents, which cost them over $200 million this offseason.

As the AFC South made some loud moves this offseason, the Colts are running it back. In the latest win total projections for the 2024 season from ESPN's Mike Clay, the Colts are right on the fringe of the playoffs.

• The Colts are looking to go over their win total in consecutive seasons for the first time since 2012-14 (three straight).
The Colts were a 9-7 team in 2023 despite the fact that Richardson missed the majority of the campaign due to a shoulder injury that required season-ending surgery in October.

Though they didn't make many outside additions, they should still field a very competitive team on both sides of the ball. And if they hit on some of their selections in the 2024 NFL draft, that would certainly boost their chances.
The Colts haven't made the playoffs since 2020, and they haven't won the division in a decade. This is shaping up to be a very interesting campaign for Indy.
