Indianapolis Colts quarterback Jason Bean was selected with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 UFL College Draft on Wednesday.
Bean signed with the Colts this offseason as an undrafted free-agent rookie following the 2024 NFL Draft.
A Kansas product, Bean completed 62.3% of his passes for 2,130 yards, 18 touchdowns and seven interceptions in 2024. He also added 47 carries for 280 rushing yards and three touchdowns.

Bean is currently on the Colts roster battling for a spot, but it's likely a long shot he will make the active roster by the end of the preseason.
With Anthony Richardson and Joe Flacco already set, it's even a question whether Sam Elhinger will make the cut.
Bean offers some intrigue as a running quarterback, but he has a long way to go in terms of a passer in the NFL.
If he doesn't make the Colts roster, it will be interesting to see if he would choose the UFL over a chance at making the practice squad.
