The Indianapolis Colts traded up and selected Pittsburgh offensive tackle Matt Goncalves with the No. 79 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
A versatile swing tackle, Goncalves has spent time at both right and left tackle. He missed most of the 2023 season, but he moves well and could even kick inside in a pinch.
In the trade, the Colts moved up three spots and gave the Arizona Cardinals the No. 191 overall pick in the sixth round.

A move inside might be in Goncalves' future. He measured in at 6-foot-6 and 327 pounds with 33 1/4-inch arms at the NFL Scouting Combine.
He has plenty of experience as a starter at both tackle spots with 24 combined starts in four seasons at Pitt—he redshirted his freshman season.
The Colts always have an affinity to add to the trenches and even though it wasn't a massive need, finding depth behind the starting five was crucial.
