Colts vs. Texans results: Score, highlights from Indy's wild-card game victory over Houston image

The Colts and Texans met in the postseason for the first time Saturday, and Indianapolis dominated the game, coming away with a 21-7 victory in an AFC wild-card game in Houston.

Indianapolis continued its recent hot streak and has now won 10 of its last 11 games. Andrew Luck delivered, throwing for 222 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. Marlon Mack ran all over the Texans' defense, rushing for 148 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries.

Deshaun Watson showed flashes of greatness in his first career playoff start but still struggled mightily, throwing for 235 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Houston's offense couldn't establish a rhythm and didn't find the end zone until 11:03 remained in the fourth quarter. 

Texans star wideout DeAndre Hopkins was held to just five catches and 37 receiving yards.

Sixth-seeded Indianapolis will travel to Kansas City next weekend to take on the top-seeded Chiefs in the divisional round.

Final: Colts 21, Texans 7

7:33 p.m.: Houston's out of timeouts and Indy will run out the clock and move on to the divisional round.

7:27 p.m.: Texans can't convert on fourth-and-10 and the Colts take over on downs. Indy picks up a couple of first downs behind big runs from Marlon Mack and we're at the two-minute warning.

7:17 p.m.: Texans have moved inside the Colts' 25-yard line on a 7-play, 65-yard drive. They're looking to make it a one-score game with 4:33 to go.

7:12 p.m.: Houston's defense manages a stop and forces another punt by Indy. 7:59 to go in the game.

7:05 p.m.: The Touchdown is confirmed. Colts lead 21-7.

7:00 p.m.: TOUCHDOWN TEXANS. Houston finally finds the end zone on a 6-yard throw from Watson to Coutee. It looks as though Coutee lost control of the ball as he dived for the pylon. The play is under review.

6:59 p.m.: The Texans' offense is starting to find some rhythm. It's knocking on the door with the ball at the Indianapolis 6-yard line.

6:56 p.m.: Watson connects with Hopkins for a 13-yard gain and a first down near the start of the fourth.

End of third quarter: Colts 21, Texans 0

6:48 p.m.: Another injury update for Indy:

6:45 p.m.: Mack breaks loose for a 29-yard run down to the Houston 46-yard line.

6:44 p.m.: Injury update for Texans:

6:43 p.m.: Watson is sacked by Indianapolis' Moore on third-and-15. Houston has to punt it away again.

6:40 p.m.: Watson scrambles to pick up a first down, but Houston's Nick Martin is flagged for holding. Texans just can't seem to catch a break today.

6:29 p.m.: Both teams trade punts. Indy with the ball at its own 23-yard line.

6:21 p.m.: Injury update for Colts:

6:16 p.m.: Texans first drive of the second half ends in a punt. 

6:13 p.m.: Texans receive the second-half kick. 

Halftime: Colts 21, Texans 0

5:58 p.m.: The Colts manages to get into field-goal range, but they were unable to stop the clock having no timeouts left and they head into the break up 21-0.

5:50 p.m.: Watson's pass to Hopkins in the end zone is low and falls incomplete. Texans turn it over on downs with 1:20 left in the first half.

5:48 p.m.: On the first play after the 2-minute warning, Watson is sacked on second-and-5 and then hits Keke Coutee for 13 yards on third-and-14. It'll be fourth-and-1 after the timeout.

5:39 p.m.: TOUCHDOWN COLTS. Luck finds Dontrelle Inman on the very next play for an 18-yard touchdown. Colts lead 21-0.

5:34 p.m.: Luck throws a terrific ball to Ebron in the end zone but can't hold on. Indianapolis just won't let up. 

5:33 p.m.: Clowney is being evaluated for a head injury.

5:29 p.m.: Houston's Jadeveon Clowney is down and being tended to by medical staff. 

5:25 p.m.: Houston faces a third-and-10 and Watson takes off to try and pick up the first down, but Indy's Margus Hunt brings him down to force another punt.

5:19 p.m.: INTERCEPTION TEXANS. A screen pass from Luck to Mack is tipped by Houston's JJ Watt and intercepted by Brandon Dunn who is immediately tackled at the Houston 15-yard line.

5:18 p.m.: Colts take over after the turnover and are driving. They're inside the Houston 20-yard line early in the second quarter.

End of first quarter: Colts 14, Texans 0

5:12 p.m.: INTERCEPTION COLTS. Houston elects to go for it on fourth-and-4 and Watson is picked off by Indy's Kenny Moore II who returns it 10 yards to the 50. 

5:05 p.m.: Watson tries to take another shot down field and this time it's Vyncint Smith who can't corral it. 

4:59 p.m.: TOUCHDOWN COLTS. Two drives and two touchdowns for Indy. This time it's Mack who punches it in from 2 yards out. Colts lead 14-0.

4:56 p.m.: Marlon Mack rips off a 25-yard run, then a few plays later Zach Pascal picks up 14 yards on a reverse. Colts offense clicking early. 

4:49 p.m.: Deshaun Watson goes deep on the first play of the drive for Houston, but DeAndre Hopkins can't come up with it. Texans win up going three-and-out.

4:42 p.m.: TOUCHDOWN COLTS. The Colts convert on third down twice on their opening drive, then a 38-yard catch by TY Hilton sets up a 6-yard touchdown from Andrew Luck to Eric Ebron to put Indy out in front. Colts lead 7-0.

4:35 p.m.: Houston wins the toss and defers to the second half. Indy will receive the opening kick.
