The Indianapolis Colts released their schedule for the 2024 season, and there's one storyline that might have an impact throughout the campaign.
Though the Colts hold one of the easiest strengths of schedule based on projected win totals, they will find themselves in a dogfight amid a crowded AFC South landscape.
On top of that, the Colts are among the teams who have the most games against an opponent coming off a bye week.
Number of times each NFL team plays an opponent coming off their bye week:

4x SF
3x IND
2X SEA, NYG, WSH, NO, MIA, DEN, TB
1x LAC, KC, PIT, DAL, CHI, HOU, LV, DET, ARZ, LAR, CLE
0x MIN, GB, CIN, BAL, CAR, ATL, TEN, JAX, BUF, NYJ, NE, PHI
While the San Francisco 49ers will play four teams coming off a bye, the Colts are right behind them. Three of their games this season will come against opponents feeling refreshed after a week off.

In fact, two of those games are back-to-back. The Colts will visit the Tennessee Titans in Week 6 as they come off their bye. Then, the Colts will host the Miami Dolphins in Week 7, who also will be fresh off the bye week.
Then, the Colts will visit the Denver Broncos in Week 15. It's slightly less concerning then because the Colts also have a Week 14 bye.
Regardless, this will be an interesting note in the Colts' schedule and will be something to keep an eye on when the season rolls around.
