For most, going to the NFL Draft is a fever dream. Something viewed as impossible or unlikely, as it was almost annually held from New York City. Until 2014, that is. The event moved to Chicago for two years, Philadelphia for one, then became traveling as part of a bidding process.

Now, the league brings one of its biggest events to cities and fans around the country.

In 2024, the NFL Draft is headed to the Motor City. After years of bidding, Detroit was finally awarded as host of the NFL Draft. The event, while big in the football world, is also known for bringing in over $100,000 to the local economy. Everyone wins, especially Lions fans who are coming off their best season in 30 years.

Nowadays, the NFL Draft is more than a place where the next class of football greats are selected. It's an event for the community and for fanbases to celebrate the upcoming season. And for many, it's a once in a lifetime opportunity.

So if you've ever dreamed of going to the NFL Draft, here's how.

How much are NFL Draft tickets?

While it seems as though tickets to the NFL Draft would cost a pretty penny, they don't. It's actually a free event!

The NFL Draft Experience is another event surrounding the three-day draft. It lasts all day, Friday through Sunday, and is free for all. It takes place around Detroit's Campus Martius and Hart Plaza. Cities that previously hosted the draft typically see just less than half a million fans at the NFL Draft Experience

The event has plenty of interactive activities for everyone. Fans can take picture with the Lombardi Trophy and get autographs from current and former players. Children can also enjoy the experience with games and drills to show off their football skills. Detroit's culture will be celebrated through music, art and food and beverage concessions celebrating local cuisines.

Those interested in going to the actual draft typically can't. Only invited ticket-holders can enter the draft theater for the main event.

NFL schedule 2024

We don't know teams' exact schedules for 2024 yet, as that's a secret the NFL likes to keep until its official announcement. We do, however, know everyone's home and away opponents, just not dates and times. You can view games and the cheapest tickets available for each team using the tables below.

Prices will likely jump once the actual schedule is released in mid-May. So if you know you want to see a certain matchup regardless of the date, your best bet is to act before prices jump.
