Greg Olsen gives advice to incoming NFL draftees image

Panthers tight end Greg Olsen can sympathize with the uneasy feeling that 2019 NFL Draft hopefuls currently have in their gut.

"You have no say of where you end up. And I think that helpless kind of feeling where you don’t have any control over your final destination is very interesting."

In a recent interview in which Olsen promoted his startup initiative FANCHEST, the 12-year veteran and 3-time Pro Bowler had some words of wisdom for this year's draft class.

“Don’t dive into the weeds of mock drafts and rumors, because that’s all that they are. They’re just rumors. Trust what teams have told you, trust what they’ve told your agent, and just enjoy the process. You only get drafted once, it’s a special day, it’s a day I remember to this day; where you are, who you’re with, and once you get drafted then it’s time to go to work, time to make the most of it.”

Olsen went on to share some stories about his experience as a NFL Draft prospect in 2007, and how other players liked Devin Hester eased his transition into the league.
