Greg Jennings slams Packers' Aaron Rodgers for calling out teammates on 'Pat McAfee Show': 'You can't do this' image

Aaron Rodgers didn't hold back during his weekly appearance on "The Pat McAfee Show" following Week 7 of the 2022 NFL season.

The Packers suffered their third consecutive loss in a 23-21 defeat at the hands of the Commanders. Green Bay's offense sputtered once again in that outing, and Rodgers was critical of his teammates' performances in its wake.

The quarterback lamented the team's mental mistakes, which he said was a major reason for the offense's struggles. He also indicated that it might soon be time for the Packers to make wholesale changes to their offense.

Guys who are making too many mistakes shouldn't be playing. Gotta start cutting some reps.

Strangely, Rodgers wasn't critical of himself in his analysis. He said quarterbacks coach Tom Clements told him he produced his best performance of the year in the defeat.

It remains to be seen how the Packers' offensive players will respond to Rodgers' critiques. That said, one of the veteran quarterback's former teammates and top targets, Greg Jennings, didn't think Rodgers' remarks would be particularly well-received.

Indeed, Jennings has a point. Rodgers has some valid critiques of the team's performance, as the Packers' young receiver room has struggled in its effort to replace perennial All-Pro Davante Adams.

That said, Rodgers could be sowing seeds of frustration in Green Bay's locker room with his public comments. Even worse, he could be striking fear into the young receivers which could cause them to press when on the field or play with diminished confidence.

Perhaps Rodgers' strategy will work, but airing his grievances on "The Pat McAfee Show" as if it was some sort of Festivus exercise doesn't seem particularly constructive.

We'll soon see if Rodgers' words have any impact — positive or negative — on the Packers' receivers as they prepare to face the Bills.
