Packers draft picks 2022: Who did Green Bay take? Full list of NFL Draft selections image

The Green Bay Packers have had an incredibly busy offseason. After signing Aaron Rodgers to a three-year extension, they traded Davante Adams to the Raiders for the Raiders' first and second round picks this season.

The result is a whopping five picks in the top-100 for the Packers, who lost in the NFL's divisional round last season to the 49ers. The loss came after two straight years of losing in the NFC Championship Game, stoking rumor after rumor of Rodgers' discontent with the franchise.

Even with Rodgers locked up, the Packers clearly have work to do. They also lost Za'Darius Smith to the division rival Vikings, and the Vikings appear to be gearing up to make a run at the NFC North.

Despite all of this, Rodgers is the reigning back to back MVP. Despite their playoff woes, the Packers will be competitive for as long as he's their quarterback -- but to take the next step, they have to gear up properly in the draft.

Packers NFL draft needs

  • Wide Receiver: You could really end the list here, if you so choose. Wide receiver is now a massive gap in the Packers roster with the trade of Davante Adams to the Raiders, and the Packers have the draft capital to replenish. It's hard to think of a team in the league with a more obvious need.
  • Tight End: Robert Tonyan isn't a bad tight end by any means, but the Packers could really use a good, young option here. Tonyan has had issues staying healthy at times and is occasionally inconsistent, so giving Aaron Rodgers another passing target who can also run block would be a net positive for Green Bay.
  • Pass rusher: Though the Packers still have Preston Smith, Rashan Gary, and Jonathan Garvin, more it would behoove them to get more depth for the edge rushers. The loss of Za'Darius Smith to division rival Minnesota is an important one for the Packers, so allowing them to keep a rotation defensively would be valuable.
