Mornings haven't been the same without beloved NFL Network program "Good Morning Football," which mysteriously vanished from airwaves in March after cast members made an emotional goodbye from the show's longtime New York residency.
Many wondered just when — or if — the highly-touted offering would return to the fore. Uncertainty reigned supreme after the program vowed to move to Los Angeles, especially after longtime analyst Jason McCourty announced that he was stepping away from the show, ending a fruitful spell of nearly two years with the series.
Fans were urged to have patience as the telecast attempted to rework its formula. On Monday, any preexisting concerns of the program's future were swept away. "Good Morning Football" is returning to television screens in late July. It will just do so with a slew of new faces attached to the project.

The current iteration of the broadcast will feature a trio of familiar names — Kyle Brandt, Jamie Erdahl and Peter Schrager, all of whom will reprise their roles from the New York-based version of the program. They'll be joined by former NFLer Akbar Gbajabiamila — the host of American Ninja Warrior — and Sherree Burruss, a D.C.-based reporter who is relocating to the West Coast to contribute to coverage.

"Not only are we bringing back a show that so many fans have woken up to and loved for years, we are giving it a state-of-the-art new home with even more resources and space for our talent to showcase their signature segments and fun takes on the game of football," Angela Ellis, the NFL Media vice president of original content and entertainment, said, per NFL.com.
"Good Morning Football" initially launched in August 2016. It has captured three Sports Emmys for its production excellence, most recently in 2022.
