The New York Giants currently hold six selections in the 2024 NFL Draft, one of which comes at No. 47 overall in the second round.

The Giants have held this selection three times before, twice before the merger and not since 1994. This is not their original second-round pick. They received this pick as a part of the Leonard Williams deal at the trade deadline with the Seattle Seahawks.

1941 NFL Draft

The first selection the Giants made at No. 47 overall in the draft was offensive lineman Lou DeFilippo. He was drafted in 1941 but served in the Navy during World War II, a common theme among players drafted during that time. After the war ended, he returned to the Giants and played three seasons (1945-1947), appearing in 36 career games and making five starts.

1952 NFL Draft

The next player the Giants selected with this pick was defensive back Dan Menasco out of Texas. He spent two seasons with the Giants, appearing in 20 career games and making 10 starts. He recorded five interceptions during his time with the Giants, four of which came during his rookie season. He spent one season with the Washington Redskins in 1954.

1994 NFL Draft

The final player on this list is cornerback Thomas Randolph, who was the No. 47 overall pick in the 1994 NFL Draft out of Kansas State. He spent four seasons with the Giants appearing in 64 games and making 32 starts. Four of his six career interceptions came with the Giants, and he spent the final two seasons of his career with the Cincinnati Bengals (1998) and Indianapolis Colts (1999).
