It's not officially training camp until the fights break out during the joint practices. The New York Giants and Detroit Lions reached that feat early in Monday's session.
In what turned into a massive skirmish in the middle of the field between the offensive and defensive line, the pile continued to get pushed down the field as more players entered the scrum.
It's expected that tensions will be high as competitors go against each other in full pads. This often leads to fights, especially when players are lining up against actual opponents and not teammates for the first time.
There were several angles of the skirmish that took place, and it seems the fight took place after a catch from Lions star receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown.

It's unclear what exactly started the fight, but it wound up turning into an all-out brawl between both teams before cooler heads prevailed.
Football is officially back.
