The NFL is expected to fine the Giants for coach Ben McAdoo’s use of a walkie-talkies during their 10-7 win at home over the Cowboys, ESPN.com reports.
McAdoo was seen with a walkie-talkie on the sideline after the team experienced trouble relaying play calls to quarterback Eli Manning.

While the violation by the Giants irked other NFL organizations, the fine amounts to a slap on the wrist, and some around the league are wondering why the NFL came down harder on the Browns in 2014 for GM Ray Farmer sending in-game text messages to then-offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan.
ESPN notes the Browns ended up losing a draft pick for that transgression, and according to Pro Football Talk, the league suspended Farmer for four games and fined the team $250,000. The Giants are not expected to lose a draft pick.
Per PFT, while the Giants’ and Browns’ violations seem similar, a source said the difference in penalties is accounted for by the fact Farmer violated the rules multiple times while McAdoo did it just once.
