The Giants came oh so close to picking up their first win of the season on "Thursday Night Football" against the Washington Football Team, but alas, it was not to be. Dustin Hopkins kicked a 43-yard field goal as time was expiring to retake the lead against New York and start the Giants 0-2.

The Falcons weren't quite as close to winning in Week 2. Facing off against Tom Brady and the reigning Super Bowl champs, the Falcons were torched for five passing touchdowns while Matt Ryan threw three interceptions to begin the season 0-2.

Something's got to give this week. The only matchup of 0-2 teams in the NFL in Week 3, one of them will snap the skid on Sunday and pick up their first win of the season.

If there was a positive to the Giants' loss, it was that the offense looked better than it has in a while. Daniel Jones passed for 249 yards with a touchdown and rushed for 95 yards and a score with, and perhaps most importantly, no turnovers. While star running back Saquon Barkley still didn't have a heavy workload, he did rush for a season-high 57 yards on 13 carries.

The Falcons, on the other hand, saw Cordarrelle Patterson put together a productive afternoon offensively as he scored two touchdowns — one rushing and one receiving — while combining for 69 total yards.
