Things were incredibly heated between the New York Giants and Detroit Lions during their first of two joint practices on Monday afternoon, as countless fights broke out between the two teams.

And even Giants head coach Brian Daboll got angry after one rep. According to The Athetlic's Dan Duggan, Daboll wasn't happy when Lions defensive lineman Levi Onwuzurike tipped a pass from quarterback Daniel Jones' hand on one rep.

Daboll "blew up" on Onwuzurike because the Giants coach was none-too-pleased with how close the defensive lineman got to his signal-caller, seeing as how the quarterbacks are off limits at practice.

"Calm Daboll has been replaced by game-day Daboll today," Duggan wrote. "He has been fired up. He blew up on Lions DL Levi Onwuzurike for tipping a Daniel Jones pass from his hand. QBs are off limits in practice and Daboll didn’t appreciate how close Onwuzurike got to Jones."

Per Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News, a fight broke out on the very next play between a Lions defensive lineman and guard Greg Van Roten, which was the second major skirmish of the practice.

The first came when Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown shoved Giants corner Dane Belton after making a catch on one rep, which led to both benches clearing and a confrontation on the field.

But things didn't stop with those two fights, as Kyle Meinke of MLive.com reports that as many as eight broke out over the course of the morning. As of this writing, practice is still going on, so there's time for more.
