In an era where drama on social media is as common as any actions you see in person, Steelers WR George Pickens is clearly trying to send a message.

Despite Pittsburgh's victory over the Titans on "Thursday Night Football," it was a frustrating night for Pickens. He failed to get a second foot down on what should have been an easy touchdown, finishing the contest with two receptions for -1 yards.

This comes on the heels of another quiet performance against the Jaguars the week prior, where, although Pickens scored, he finished with just that one touchdown reception for 22 yards.

The rising star got out to a hot start to his sophomore campaign, tallying 500 yards and two touchdowns on 27 receptions through the first six games of the season. It was expected to be a breakout year for the 2022 second-round pick, especially after WR Diontae Johnson suffered a hamstring injury in Week 1 that would sideline him until Week 8.

Pickens took advantage of his time as Pittsburgh's WR1, but he has taken a back seat upon Johnson's return and the Georgia product appears displeased with his role in the offense.

As NFL aggregator Dov Kleiman pointed out, Pickens posted "Free Me," on his Instagram story, deleted all of his Pittsburgh posts on the app and changed his profile picture from him in a Steelers uniform to one of him from high school.

On top of that, he unfollowed QB Kenny Pickett, head coach Mike Tomlin and the Steelers' official account on Instagram, per Kleiman.

This isn't hard to believe, especially following the viral picture of Pickens looking upset on the sidelines immediately after Johnson had scored the game-winning touchdown for the Steelers with four minutes left in the fourth quarter.

While it is important to always take social media drama with a grain of salt, it looks like Pittsburgh could have an unsettling situation on its hands just as the NFL's trade deadline has passed.

With a long week before the Steelers' next matchup with the Packers on Sunday, Nov. 12, Pickens has some time to let his emotions settle before he has to rejoin the team.
