It's safe to say that Mike Davis probably has a leg up in the Falcons' backfield.

And it's a particularly big one.

On Tuesday afternoon, ESPN's Field Yates posted a photo of Davis doing work at the Falcons' facility, and pointed out Davis' shredded legs.

That's a pretty amazing picture, and it drew some attention from fans on Twitter who were impressed with Davis' conditioning.

Certainly any NFL back would be jealous of the muscle that Davis has on his 5-9, 221-pound frame. And given that new Atlanta coach Arthur Smith previously had Derrick Henry in Tennessee, he may be happy to have another strong, bulky back at his disposal in his new home.

That's not to say that Davis will have the same type of production as Henry. But after racking up 1,015 scrimmage yards on 224 touches in 15 games (12 starts) for the Panthers last year, he could be more of a workhorse than Atlanta was expecting when it signed him to a two-year deal during the 2021 offseason.

And no matter what his role, Davis is excited for a chance to play for his hometown team.

“Never, never thought I’d have the chance to play for the Atlanta Falcons,” Davis said, per D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “It’s really a dream come true.”
