One of the things NFL rookies are cautioned about when entering the league is people coming out of the woodwork asking for money.

Ezekiel Elliott probably didn't expect the first person asking him for money to be a former Ohio State teammate. About an hour after Elliott tweeted a photo of himself signing his rookie contract with the Cowboys, former Buckeyes quarterback Cardale Jones reminded the running back he's in debt.

Elliott was the fourth overall pick in the draft and has a four-year rookie contract worth $24.9 million, with a $16.3 million signing bonus. Jones was taken by the Bills in the fourth round of the draft, 135 picks after Elliott, and will have a rookie deal that pays him about $450,000 annually. While Jones probably doesn't need the $5, it's the principle of the matter and easy to see from where he's coming.

Pay up, Zeke. You can afford it.
