Eddie Lacy's demotion reportedly due to missing curfew image

For those wondering why Eddie Lacy saw fewer snaps against the Lions Thursday, here's your answer: He missed his curfew the night before.

The Packers running back and fellow running back Alonzo Harris both were out past curfew on Wednesday night, according to ESPN.com, citing sources. The Packers cut Harris hours before kickoff, while Lacy fell behind James Stark on the depth chart.

Lacy saw only 19 snaps and only touched the ball six times, gaining one total yard. Rookie John Crockett ended up taking Lacy's place behind Starks in the second half.

After the Packers incredible 27-23 win over the Lions, Lacy remained tight-lipped on his demotion.

"I don't feel as though that's something I should get into yet," he said.

Coach Mike McCarthy also remained aloof on Lacy's demotion when asked about it Friday.

"An internal football decision that was made. That's what resulted in Eddie's reps," McCarthy said.

When asked whether it was a disciplinary move, McCarthy said, "Could be. But those things we don't discuss in here anyway. It's something that we handled internally, and that was the outcome."
