When the Seahawks (6-7) host the Eagles (10-3) to close NFL Week 15 on "Monday Night Football" (8:15 p.m. ET, ABC), the hosts will try to bolster their NFC wild-card hopes while the visitors will look to improve their current NFC playoff positioning.

While Seattle won't catch San Francisco in the NFC West, it can still secure one of the last two wild cards to earn a No. 6 or No. 7 seed. Philadelphia is currently the No. 5 seed but is looking to regain its spot atop the standing soon.

That makes for a compelling matchup between two fine-feathered friends in a game for the birds. Here's a betting breakdown and prediction for the latest edition of MNF:

Eagles vs. Seahawks odds, spread, over/under

(All odds courtesy of Caesars Sportsbook)

Spread: Eagles -3 (-115) | Seahawks +3 (-105)
Over/Under: OVER 47.5 (-110) | UNDER 47.5 (-110)
Moneyline: Eagles -170 | Seahawks +143

The Eagles were heavier favorites, at 4.5 points when it was looking like Seahawks starting QB Geno Smith (groin) was set to miss another game with backup QB Drew Lock filling in again, but with Smith trending toward playoing, the spread has shrunk toward the Seattle side. The rather high total also reflects the potency of both offenses, especially at wide receiver.

Should you bet the Eagles against the spread vs. the Seahawks?

The Eagles are coming off a brutal Sunday night Week 14 loss in Dallas. Before that, they were destroyed by the 49ers in Philadelphia. Their pass defense is getting more exposed, and they are not being able to stick with an effective running game.

The Seahawks can stay in the game with wide receivers DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba all having good matchups. The Eagles will also look to slow down the game with more of D'Andre Swift and the rushing attack and are just concerned with ending their two-game skid in a hostile, tough road environment.

Our Pick: Seahawks -3 (-105)

Should you bet the Seahawks on the moneyline vs. the Eagles?

When typically taking field-goal underdogs to cover, given the rarity of one- or two-point defeats, it also comes with picking that team to win. However, the Seahawks are just not the better team, and the Eagles should be trusted to come through late to steal the much-needed victory with Jalen Hurts and his three top receivers motivated to do clutch damage. In the end, the Eagles will escape with a slim victory on their last possession.

Our pick: Eagles -170

Should you bet the Eagles-Seahawks OVER?

Much like the spread being a field goal, this one is a tough call, as the total is set at a pretty good place given the teams' profiles. With the Eagles running well to chew up clock and the Seahawks being contained on the ground, this should lead to a game that flirts with the number but sneaks just below it.

Our Pick: UNDER 47.5 (-110)

Final score prediction: Eagles 24, Seahawks 23
