Toughest tests: The Eagles balance out all of the brutal AFC North with the weak NFC South, although they did lose to the Buccaneers in the playoffs. After opening the season in Brazil vs. the Packers, their road game at the Cowboys stands out as one of their toughest. They also play the Ravens, Bengals, and Rams on the road.

Biggest breaks: Getting the Giants and Commanders twice each always helps, even though those division foes might be improved. The Eagles also get the Falcons, Panthers, Steelers, Browns, and Jaguars at home

Bottom line: The Eagles were disappointed to slide behind the Cowboys last season, but it gives them an easier overall slate this year. They have a shot to go 5-1 in the division and 4-2 elsewhere in the conference. That gives them a clear path to match last season's record with a better schedule than the Cowboys, leading a return to first place.

Eagles 2024 record prediction: 11-6
