Eagles linebacker Zach Brown says Kirk Cousins is 'weakest part' of Vikings' offense image

The Eagles will face off against the Vikings in Week 6, and Zach Brown is confident his team has identified how to take down Minnesota.

The Philadelphia linebacker believes the opposition's quarterback, Kirk Cousins, is the team's weak link.

"Cousins, I think every defense is going to want that guy to throw the ball," Brown told reporters Friday. "For me, that's probably the weakest part of their offense is him. Everything else is good. They've got a good running game, probably one of the best in the league. They have real good receivers. You just want them to pass the ball. You want Kirk Cousins to get it in his hands."

Brown played with Cousins in Washington during the 2017 season and noticed his deficiencies even then.

"I realized when I was in Washington, he was kind of careless with the ball. But at the same time, hey, you make the bed you sleep in," Brown said.

"I was at the Redskins with him so I know about him. That's my viewpoint on him."

Cousins ranks 23rd in the NFL in passing yards (1,041) and has five touchdowns and two interceptions.

But the Vikings have flourished on the ground, as Dalvin Cook's 542 rushing yards are second to only Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey (587).

The Eagles' front seven is stingy though, as they've given up a measly 315 rushing yards in 2019 — the lowest mark in the NFL.

Philadelphia (3-2) and Minnesota (3-2) will each try to remain above .500 after Sunday's matchup at 1 p.m. ET.
