In one of the better matchups of the Week 4 NFL slate, the 3-0 Eagles return home to face the 2-1 Jaguars (1:00 p.m. ET, FOX). Philadelphia's attempting to remain atop the NFC East standings while the Jaguars look to stay in first place in the AFC South.
Entering this Week 4 matchup, the Eagles are sporting an impressive +36 point differential following a 24-8 win over Washington in a game that was even more lopsided than the scoreboard indicated.
Jacksonville has been one of the biggest surprises in the early season, entering Week 4 with a +46 point differential after a 38-10 beatdown over the Chargers in a game they led wire-to-wire in. Head coach Doug Pederson faces his former franchise for the first time since he was let go by the Eagles back in 2021.

Philadelphia sat as 7-point home favorites on the look-ahead line, but with Jacksonville dismantling the Chargers in Week 3, the Eagles have been slightly bet down to 6.5-point home chalk. The total has seen some movement after opening around 48 points, settling at 44 points, likely because of rain and wind concerns.

Eagles vs. Jaguars all-time series
The Eagles and Jaguars are tied with three wins apiece over their six all-time meetings. In the last meeting between these two teams in October of 2018, the Carson Wentz-led Eagles notched a 24-18 win over the Jaguars in London. Jacksonville's last win in this series came back in October of '06 when the Jaguars notched a 13-6 road victory.
Three trends to know

-- Dating back to last season, the Jaguars are just 3-8 ATS in their past 11 games.

Three things to watch for
Jaguars' offensive line in pass protection
Jacksonville's offensive line was phenomenal in pass protection last week against the Chargers, not allowing a sack on 39 pass attempts. Can the Jaguars' O-line hold up for a second-straight week against an Eagles defense that racked up nine sacks and 17 QB pressures against the Commanders? Trevor Lawrence hasn't been very effective when under pressure this season, completing just 12-of-30 passes with a 49.3 passer rating.
Philadelphia's stout secondary
Philadelphia's defense has been playing in sync, especially on the backend. The Eagles currently boast PFF's third-highest coverage grade (79.6), and not many QBs will have success if Darius Slay and James Bradbury continue playing at such a high level. While Christian Kirk and Zay Jones (ankle) have had success in the early season, Sunday will be their toughest test to date.
Eagles running game
Despite putting up 400 yards of total offense in their 24-8 drubbing over the Commanders, the Eagles rushed for just 72 rushing yards and were fairly ineffective on the ground. The good news for the 2022 version of the Eagles is that they're able to still have success on offense when the ground game isn't working. Look for the Eagles to have more success rushing this week -- especially if the expected rainy/windy conditions make it more difficult to pass -- but even if they don't, they still have the chance to score their fair share.
Stat that matters
0.8%. That's the percentage of turnover-worthy plays (passes that have a high chance of being intercepted or times when a player is doing a poor job taking care of the ball) that Jalen Hurts' has been responsible for through three weeks. On 121 dropbacks, Hurts has just one turnover-worthy play, which wasn't even really his fault as Kenneth Gainwell bobbled a screen pass that landed in Jordan Hicks' arms during the Eagles' 24-7 win over the Vikings in Week 2. Hurts' ability to consistently protect the football goes a long way in the Eagles' hopes of making a Super Bowl run this season, but it might be tested this week if they're playing in wet and windy conditions.
Eagles vs. Jaguars prediction
Jacksonville's last two performances are a clear sign that this team will compete for an AFC South division title, but going into Lincoln Financial Field and coming away with a victory will be a tough task against a well-rounded Eagles bunch. Philadelphia keeps up its hot play with a home win and cover.
PREDICTION: Eagles 27, Jaguars 20. Philadelphia covers (-6.5) and the game goes OVER (44).
