The Eagles' A.J. Brown has been incredible all season, and the receiver was undoubtedly going to get his targets in Super Bowl 57 against the Chiefs. He made his third target of the game count in a big way, hauling in a 45-yard touchdown catch in the first half to put the Eagles up 14-7 early in the second quarter.
Brown scored on a flag route to the end zone and left the Chiefs secondary in the dust.
It looked like a blown assignment led to Brown getting behind the defensive backfield for the score.
WHAT AN ADJUSTMENT. HURTS TO BROWN 45-YARD TOUCHDOWN!

It was Chiefs first-round pick Trent McDuffie who Brown lost for the score.

The touchdown was, in fact, eerily similar to a Brown touchdown in a Madden video game simulation of the game.
The moment is at the 55-second mark of the simulation.
This can’t be real…can it? 🌵

If that play ends up being indicative of the rest of the game, it bodes well for Philadelphia. The simulation had the Eagles winning 31-17 as the final score.
A glimpse beyond the Matrix? Or purely serendipitous? Only time will tell, but in-game, it was a terrific route from Brown.
