Drew Lock career earnings: How much money Seahawks QB has made on NFL contracts image

When Drew Lock was part of the deal that sent Russell Wilson from the Seahawks to the Broncos, he was seen as a potential replacement for the Super Bowl-winning signal caller.

That's not exactly how things have panned out in Seattle. Lock had to compete with journeyman Geno Smith for the starting job and ultimately, a career resurgence for the veteran put Lock in a backup role with the Seahawks.

However, as the 2023 season has shown more than any other in recent memory, injuries are bound to happen, especially at quarterback. Smith hurt his groin in Week 14, causing Lock to jump into game action for his third appearance this year. The injury to Smith has lingered, and there is a shot that Lock gets his first start with the Seahawks on Monday night when the Eagles travel to Lumen Field.

Lock has not started a game since 2021, when he was still a member of the Broncos. The 27-year-old has carved himself a nice backup role on Pete Carroll's squad, but the Missouri product may now be at the forefront of a 6-7 Seattle team desperately looking to stay alive in the playoff race.

Here is a look at how much money Lock has made during his NFL career:

Drew Lock career earnings

Lock has only been in the NFL for five years, so in comparison to other quarterbacks, he hasn't made a ton by NFL standards.

From 2019 to 2022, Lock was on an entry-level contract he signed with the Broncos after he was drafted out of Missouri. On the four-year deal, he made $7,010,817, which included a $3,118,776 signing bonus. The deal carried an average annual salary of roughly $1.75 million.

Between his entry-level contract and the current deal he is on with the Seahawks, Lock has made $11,238,923 during his time in the NFL.

Drew Lock contract

Lock is currently on a one-year, $4 million deal. It's his first deal since his entry-level contract expired at the end of last season.

The quarterback is set to be an unrestricted free agent at the end of the 2023 campaign.
