Contract negotiations are not going according to plan, according to Drew Brees.
The Saints quarterback said he hasn't heard a peep about a contract extension from the organization in three months, ESPN.com reported.

"Not sure why things have not progressed," Brees said. "They made an offer in March, we made an offer shortly thereafter. And besides the Josh Norman deal, there has been no talk about a contract since."
Before the Redskins signed Norman, the Saints talked to Brees about restructuring his contract to incorporate Norman under their salary cap. However, with Norman out of the picture, it should have been easy for the Saints to create some sort of extension for Brees.
The 37-year-old enters the final season of his five-year, $100 million contract in 2016. His age might be a factor in the Saints' hesitance togive him a concrete deal, but the veteran has not showed any signs of slowing down.
