What did Dom DiSandro do wrong?
Dom DiSandro will not be allowed to be present on the sidelines for the Eagles' upcoming matchup against the Cowboys. But it is important to note that does not mean that he will not be present at the game.
The move comes after his altercation with 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw in Week 13, as NFL insiders Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero first reported.
DiSandro had a meeting with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, Executive Vice President of Football Operations Troy Vincent and Eagles representatives at the league office on Friday.
The situation is still developing.
"This is an ongoing conversation with the NFL, and we are going to respect the restriction that is currently in place," the Eagles released in a statement.
The team also made clear all of his other responsibilities would remain the same away from the sideline.
"Although Dom will not be on the sideline this Sunday, he will continue to fulfill his role with the team in all other capacities."
The punishment for Greenlaw is still yet to be determined, though he is expected to be fined by the NFL for his hit on Smith. Nothing has been released on any punishment for Greenlaw for his involvement in the altercation that involved DiSandro to this point, though.
