Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa is a man of many talents, if his appearance on Monday night's "Manningcast" is any indication.
Tagovailoa has proven he can sling the football around, as he's tied for the AFC lead in touchdown passes through 13 weeks, but a future in music might be in the cards.
The Dolphins signal-caller broke out the guitar during his appearance with the Manning brothers during Monday's game between the Bengals and Jaguars, delivering an impressive rendition of Eric Clapton's "Tears in Heaven."
Tagovailoa played well enough to almost make viewers forget a football game was happening, but Peyton Manning snapped fans right back to reality by singing play-by-play of the game to the tune of the guitar.

Tagovailoa experimented a bit more with the guitar, bringing a scowl to Manning's face by playing a few riffs of "Sweet Home Alabama."
The fan site Dolphins Talk tagged musician and well-known Dolphins fanatic Darius Rucker on X (formerly Twitter), suggesting he get Tagovailoa into the studio for a jam session. Rucker replied "I'm in", which drew an all-emoji response from Tagovailoa on Tuesday morning.

As if it wasn't obvious by the way he played the guitar, Tagovailoa has a musical background. He told Fox Sports in 2020 that he grew up singing in a church choir and explained that his family has made a habit of coming together to sing.
"Every time I'm with my family, that's all they wanna do is just sing. In Polynesian families, that's what it's about," he said.
In case there was any doubt as to how much music means to Tagovailoa, video showed him in 2019 playing the ukulele and dancing in a hospital bed just hours after suffering a serious hip injury that ended his collegiate career.

Tagovailoa also serenaded his Alabama teammates on the ukulele as a freshman in 2017, with then-Tide OC Mike Locksley sharing a video on social media.

Regardless of how this season ends for the Dolphins, Tagovailoa is in line to receive a massive contract extension as early as this coming offseason. The 25-year-old is about to have enough money to buy as many guitars and ukulele as he can imagine.
