The Cowboys didn't waste any time in looking outside the organization to fill the gaping hole left by All-Pro wide receiver Dez Bryant's injury.
Brice Butler confirmed Tuesday on Twitter that he had been traded from the Raiders to the Cowboys ahead of their NFC East matchup against the Eagles in Week 2.

The 6-3, 215-pound Butler, a seventh-round pick in 2013 out of San Diego State, had 30 catches for 383 yards and two touchdowns in two seasons with the Raiders.
Bryant suffered a broken right foot that required surgery in the Cowboys' season-opening 27-26 win against the Giants and is expected to be out at least four weeks and perhaps much longer. Reports indicate the Cowboys gave up a conditional pick in the 2016 Draft to acquire Butler.
Bryant's absence isn't insurmountable, but it does challenge quarterback Tony Romo and the Dallas offense.
A two-time Pro Bowl selection, Bryant led the NFL with 16 touchdown catches in 2014 and had 51 more catches than the Cowboys' next-leading wide receivers, Terrance Williams and Cole Beasley.
