Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant's target return date from surgery on his broken right foot continues to be Oct. 25 against the Giants, team owner Jerry Jones says.
"Dez, of course, is Superman," Jones said Tuesday on 105.3 The Fan (via the Dallas Morning News). "I say that without a smile. He heals extraordinarily quick. His procedure went well. He's sound with the procedure. Everything they did, by the way, the graft and all that, it enhances his chance to get out there. I think he's got a chance to do it after the bye."

How long it will take Bryant to recover has been a topic of discussion, but team executive vice president Stephen Jones gave a similar update Monday on the same station: "We've got a timeframe. … I think this week he'll still be a little limited in what we'll push him to do. Then the week after that, we expect him to start to really working back in and have a real shot to play after the bye week."
The Cowboys are scheduled to play at New York in Week 7. Bryant underwent surgery Sept. 14 to repair his broken right foot during which doctors performed a bone graft and inserted a screw.
According to the Morning News, Bryant has been seen frequently at the Cowboys' Valley Ranch practice facility for treatment. Although he typically is seen in a boot, he was walking barefoot as early as nine days after the surgery.
The injury-riddled Cowboys are 2-2 and face the unbeaten Patriots on Sunday before their bye week.
