The Falcons have their ace back.
Running back Devonta Freeman has passed the NFL concussion protocol and will return the practice Wednesday, coach Dan Quinn announced (via NFL.com.)

According to Quinn, Freeman is "jacked" about getting back on the field.
Freeman was sidelined all last week after he sustained a concussion during the Falcons' Week 11 loss to the Colts and missed Sunday's game against the Vikings. Rookie Tevin Coleman took his place in the lineup and rushed for 110 yards on 18 carries but no touchdowns in a 20-10 loss.
Freeman, who leads the NFL with nine rushing touchdowns, is likely to return to the field this Sunday against the Buccaneers as the Falcons try to break a four-game losing streak.
