After rocking their all-Honolulu blue uniform combination in Week 1 against the Los Angeles Rams, the Detroit Lions are switching things up for the Week 2 contest versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
According to Justin Rogers of Detroit Football Network, the Lions are rolling with their Honolulu blue tops and silver pants. That means we're going to have to wait another two weeks, at least, for the return of the black jerseys. Detroit has a road game next week, which means we'll likely see their white jerseys.
Of course, the Lions revamped their uniforms earlier this offseason, making slight changes to their traditional ones while also adding the black version that, quite frankly, was our favorite one.

The all-black setup with the blue helmet is excellent, but we don't mind the black jersey, blue pants version, either. The Lions haven't worn their black jersey since 2007.
Detroit does have a home primetime game against the Seattle Seahawks on "Monday Night Football" in Week 4, so there's a chance we see the return of the black jersey then.
The Lions and Bucs will meet at Ford Field on Sunday, Sept. 15, with kickoff set for 1 p.m. ET. Both teams are 1-0 after the Lions beat the Rams and the Bucs beat the Washington Commanders.
