Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold will stop at nothing to win in coverage, no matter who he's up against — no, literally, no matter who.
He made that clear during the first day of rookie minicamp on Friday, when he said he would jam his own mother "into the dirt" if she was lining up across from him.
But don't feel bad for Arnold's mom, who didn't exactly take it easy on the Lions draft pick and cornerback when they practiced together in the past. Arnold told an amazing story of how his mom once knocked his tooth out by accident.
"I'll never forget one time my mom kicked my tooth out because we was just going at it so hard so if my mom was out here right now and she lined up across me as a receiver, I would jam her into the dirt," Arnold said, per ESPN's Eric Woodyard.

"That's my mindset and my mom knows that right now. I just mean it in the simple aspect of like football-wise, that's just the way that I think and the way that I was brought up."

The Lions finally revealed the jersey numbers their 2024 NFL Draft class will wear and Arnold chose the No. 0, with his reasoning being that, "ain't nobody like me."
"When I say it ain't nobody like me, it's talking about the secondary," Arnold said. "Obviously, last year in this secondary, we had ups and downs, but we're gonna be exciting, we're gonna be dynamic, we're gonna play fast and it ain't gonna be nobody like us.
"So, when I say it ain't nobody like me, it ain't nobody like me."
And, after hearing his story, I think it's safe to say there aren't many people out there like Arnold's mom, either.
