The Detroit Lions have signed another one of their 2024 NFL Draft picks, the team announced on Friday afternoon.
The latest 2024 NFL Draft pick to get signed is second-round pick and cornerback, Ennis Rakestraw Jr. He joins offensive tackle Giovanni Manu, running back Sione Vaki, defensive lineman Mekhi Wingo and guard Christian Mahogany.
Quick math: that makes five of this year's draft selections under contract, leaving just one. Just in case you haven't figured it out already, that's first-round pick and cornerback, Terrion Arnold.
According to Spotrac, the Missouri product's four-year rookie contract will be for $6.4 million and includes $3.4 million guaranteed at signing and a $1.5 million signing bonus. Rakestraw will account for a $1.1 million cap hit in 2024.
Rakestraw has not been a full-go during organized team activities over the first two weeks, with the rookie apparently still working his way back from offseason core muscle surgery.
